XL
The base trim of the XL has a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology, paired with a 10-speed transmission. The XL has 17-inch wheels and seats three in the cab. This truck gets about 25 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg in the city.
The XL has a 12-inch screen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a variety of safety features that come standard, including auto emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind spot information systems, and a rearview camera.
STX
The STX has larger, 20-inch wheels. But the main difference is that this truck can seat up to five passengers. The STX has a two-door cab but a second-row bench that can seat an additional three passengers.

The F-150 Platinum looks as luxurious as the name implies, with a gloss black grille and wheels. It shares the same engine as the King Ranch and the same heated front seats.
